CAPO Projects - Past, Present and FutureCAPO Video | "Calling" (song) | CAPO library Oregon 211Community Action Partnership of Oregon endorse the vision, goals and role of the Oregon 211 Coalition and will provide organizational support as appropriate and feasible. Visit the website.Oregon Energy PartnershipMission: Oregon Energy Partnership exists to provide a voice for Community Action Partnership of Oregon and low-income Oregonians in creating policies to ensure clean, reliable and affordable energy.Through education and communication, Oregon Energy Partnership can lead CAPO and low-income Oregonians in creating and maintaining sound energy policies and protections for our most vulnerable citizens. This work is done in partnership with Oregon Housing and Community Services, CAPO members and affiliates, and coalitions such as Oregon Energy Coordinators Association, Fair and Clean Energy Coalition, Northwest Energy Coalition, League of Utilities and Social Service Agencies, Oregon HEAT, and the Citizen's Utility Board. With the constant threat of cuts to social service programs, the rising costs of housing and the recent utility rate increases, low-income Oregonians are more at risk than ever. In the current climate of uncertainty for social service programs it is important to work with a broad base of groups to gather information and educate others about the needs and challenges of low-income citizens. Oregon Energy Partnership also works to enable and encourage low-income individuals to participate in decision-making forums, public hearings, and other meetings concerned with social issues that affect their quality of life. It is important to provide education and opportunities for individuals to take meaningful action. Our goal is to assist CAPO in building a statewide network of informed individuals to carry out the mission of CAPO to educate on issues of poverty, serving as a catalyst for change.
