WHAT IS OREGON THRIVES?
Oregon Thrives is an initiative convened by the Community Action Partnership of Oregon in collaboration with Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon, Neighborhood Partnerships, Oregon Food Bank, Oregon Department of Housing and Community Services and Oregon Hunger Task Force.
WHAT WE DO
Our mission and vision are to create healthy and prosperous communities where all have access to family wage jobs, quality education, nutritious food, stable homes and services that promote health and wellness.
Our goal is to inspire Oregonians to work together for a thriving Oregon by:
- Building broad based partnerships around equity and other shared interests;
- Developing a unified voice to communicate the benefits of our shared vision; and,
- Creating the political will to make our shared vision a priority so that all Oregonians prosper.
Our Focus is to collaboratively achieve a thriving Oregon by assuring access to:
- Appropriate Nutrition: All Oregonians have safe, nutritious, adequate, affordable and culturally appropriate food from non-emergency services.
- Health and Wellness: All Oregonians health and mental health care needs are satisfied and communities are sustainable.
- Stable Homes: All Oregonians live in housing that is safe, secure and affordable.
- Quality Education: All Oregonians receive the training and education needed to succeed.
- Economic Security: All Oregonians are able to meet their basic economic needs and avoid conditions of poverty, utilizing assets, job opportunities and community resources.

Oregon Thrives comprises a diverse collection of organizations from around the state, including members of the Community Action network, anti-poverty organizations, and state and local government agencies.
